Matsumoto Ice Carving Festival

明けましておめでとうございます！Happy New Year! Whilst over in America my brother has had to contend with zombies I have had a more low key January. It has been typically cold for Matsumoto and I have been enjoying the excellent ski conditions. Also there has been an ice carving festival at Matsumoto castle this weekend. Whilst not on the scale of the Sapporo Snow Festival it was nevertheless a winning combination of chainsaws and ice.
